Jere's puppy!

This past week,
  • Jere got a new PUPPY! It's a little shiatsu and poodle mix, Dad called it a "shit-poo" (not the right combinations of the words... but nice try Dad). His name is Shadow, and he is really the cutest puppy! He also weighs a full 5 lbs, if that.
  • Shortie got a new Nintendo DS, pink to be exact. She bought it with the money she earned working for Dad.
  • Granna and Grandpa ate Sunday dinner with us. They are so awesome and we were so happy to be able to talk with them.
  • Girl's camp went amazing! Mom did a crazy, immaculate job, and it made me feel like we were right back in Japan. :)
  • Whitty had her Brighton Dance camp in Park City. They danced ALL day, and she learned this really cool hip hop dance to the song, "When I Grow Up." It was really fun to see her, and how her talent has shot through the roof, literally!

monday monday monday

Today,

  • Tanner and Shortie went to work with Dad. They went to lunch with Gram and Pop at McDonald's, when they came back, they were the only ones in the office, however patients had started to show up. One of these patients was Gary Briggs. When Dad got in the office, Gary looked at my Dad and said, "I have Child Services on the phone." The funny thing is Laura called that he would say the very same thing ever before they got back to the office.

  • Steph had a purse party. They had REALLY cute purses there, and Steph got this really fun orange one, and a pink seatbelt purse!

  • Whit is officially at her Dance Camp. She is having lots of fun, but the weather is really HOT up there (plus dancing 6 hours, then 5 hours straight would probably do that too!).

  • The Cheney girls at home have become OBSESSED with the Jonas Brothers. Our personal pick, why Joe Jonas of course!

  • Mom and Dad have been doing camp stuff ALL day! I can't wait to see what the camp will look like, but I can already tell you with the 2 shrines, it will pretty much be AMAZING!

another Cheney Sunday

Today,

  • It is Mom's and Dad's anniversary! 30 years can you believe it! They aren't old enough for 30 years (i'm trying to gain brownie points here... :) Congratulations and we love you!
  • Mom has been up since 2:30 am doing girl's camp stuff (which she sets up tomorrow).
  • Whitney is... well let's be real, she is supposed to pack for her Brighton Dance Company camp in Park City, only she is sitting talking to me... nice packing :)
  • Tanner has come up with some pretty new sweet sayings... (if you haven't read them on the side already...). I swear he has aged 10 years since we were gone.
  • Dad has been helping mom make her bridge shrine thing for girl's camp... lots of wood and screws.
  • Shortie has been working on her b-ball skills, just another talent she can add to her HUGE list already!
  • Joe and Jamie came up for dinner, and played the WII fit. I think that might be on their wish list next Christmas :)
  • Jamie made me the most amazing picture I have ever seen :) Whitty and I laughed about it forever, and are still laughing :)

Love you guys :)

red hair in Japan...

So I am pretty sure that Japan is AMAZING! What was even more fun I think however, was our amazing tour guides, Jess and Shauntel. Really we could name any place we wanted to visit, and BAM Shauntel had us there. I think she knew the Tokyo Metro station better than most people who live there.

I think some of the highlights for me, besides the beautiful sights, were the stares, or rather gawks we got because of our red hair. People would turn their heads full tilt, and stare. Just stare! The funny thing though, was that it was not the women who would stare, it was the men! Our last night in Shibuya, a rather drunk and OLD Japanese man just stared at Jess and myself. No kidding for at least 5 minutes he sat there giggling and staring. And then there was the fish market. I acquired lots of buddies, because of my hair... kinda funny :)

So I just want to thank my Mom for letting me jet off on this crazy adventure with her. Jess, for making this whole thing possible, and being our mouth... since we couldn't really say anything. Shauntel, for being our tour guide and master of the city. Last but most definitely not least, my Dad. He provides a way for us to experience new cultures, and see the world. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

PS. Happy Father's Day Dad! Happy birthday Jere-Bear- the big 21, CRAZY! Love you

Black Jack

When mom is out of town this is how dad takes care of us. He teaches us black jack. The best part is Tanner was playing with Whitney and Courtney earlier and he told them that K are 13 points, Q are 12 points, J are 11, and A is 1 point. Those of you who know how to play Black Jack know this is not right. So when dad and JP came and played with us Whitney and Courtney were very confused. They figured it out though. We are just getting ready for our Christmas trip to Vegas!!
In other news...
*Stephani cooked dinner tonight (chicken enchiladas)
*Whitney was suppose to have a physical today but due to a miscommunication we were 30 minutes late for the appt. Luckily they were able to fit her in on Thursday. (Whitney doesn't really like going to Dr. Bentley's office because he is a pediatrician and so it is her and a bunch of two year olds in the waiting room!)
*Tanner and Courtney are working for dad (we will see how long this lasts) Tanner is saving up for a Xbox 360 and has figured out how much he has to work to make enough money to buy one
*Lunch at Apollo Burger with Gram, Pop, Diana, Jennifer, Joseph, Courtney, Tanner, Dad, Whitney and me (Stephani)
*I (Stephani) had to pick something up from JoAnnes for mom and in true mom fashion the lady remembered mom and asked if she got to Japan OK and how she was doing. Mom is very good at making friends everywhere she goes!
Hope you are having a great time in Japan Mom and Kimby-Jeanne! Love You!!!!

Happy Father's Day

So kim and mom are in Japan so for your convenience me(Whitney) and Stephani will keep you updated!...
Thursday- I had a 'funraiser' car wash. It was at Wal-mart and it went from 11-3. In those 4 hours we had a bombarding amount of 15 cars! We raised $221.
Courtney was unable to go to her achievement day activity (it was a hike). She was having a "recovery day" from being sick.
Stephani passed out while donating blood. She thinks she feel asleep and she folded her arms. When she did, and the nurse started to freak out! But she did get a lot of free juice. But in exchange she had to stay captive for an hour and a half.
Friday- Me, Stephani, tanner, courtney, and dad went and saw kung fu panda. It reminded me and stephani of JP, everyone else didn't agree though.
We had to pick up some toys for me from dads office so we all went before we went to lunch. JP was getting his tires changed and so he called us to pick him up and go with us. We decided to go to the office first since we thought we were closer to that. So as we are driving back jp calls stephani and asked if we decided not to get him or something. Needless to say after he told us to get him we drove right past him and went to the office first.
We wanted to stay with the theme so we went to (kung fu) panda express, as dad called it.
My relay for life started that night. Me and two of my other friends stayed up the whole night! we walked around the track straight from 11:30pm-7am. Which won us the award of "the golden pillowcase".
Joe finally bought his 50 inch plasma tv. Dad helped him with moms car to get it to his apartment. While they were carrying it in another guy who stays in the same apartments said "you don't need that here" joe totally disagreed.
Saturday-Dad picked Tanner up From EFY in Provo at seven in the morning. He was woken up at 5:30 by Whitney calling to tell him how pretty the sunrise was. Tanner REALLY enjoyed EFY. Whitney's relay ended at 7:00 in the morning. Mom's family had a breakfast for father's day at Sugarhouse Park. We ate and played fat bat. Then Courtney, Tanner and dad went and saw Iron Man.
Sunday- Went to church then ate dinner. After dinner we played Elimination and Poison. JP kept making up new rules for Poison but it was still lots of fun.

To add insult to injury...

Yep, Whit and I have FOOD POISONING! Thanks Cafe Rio... I can fully say, Whit and myself will NEVER eat there again!

Tanner is at BYU for EFY. He called Whit and sounded really happy, and I guess there is a hot girl there, and he has escorted her twice! Good job T!

Sorry it's so short, but when you have stuff running out both ends... it kinda sucks. Love you all.

Lake Powell

Here are some of the highlights of our trip:

  • On the drive down, Jamie had to go to the bathroom. Joe pulled off to gas the boat, but had to turn it around. Joe told Jamie she could get out, and go to the bathroom. She said no. Joe said, "Fine then just piss your pants, I don't care!" Later Jamie told Joe to piss his pants... :)
  • Still in the car, Jamie showed Whit and myself her swimsuits. Joe said, "What are you doing, like having a little fashion show in the front seat?" Yep we were!
  • When we first got to the boat, the water STUNK. Some Skipperliner people came and cleaned it out... As they were leaving, I wasn't paying attention, and said, "I love you." Once I realised what I had said, I turned red, and the running joke was I would tell anyone, "I loved them." The best part is the guy came back in the boat once I said that... great.
  • Jamie was explaining the positions of management in her store. She said she was a level 1 of 5. Joe said, "No babe, you're more like a 1.89!"
  • Steph FRIED the back of her legs! Worst past, is it is only one little section of her leg. It looks so painful! See picture.
  • What's a Cheney trip if you don't visit the ER!? Well this time, it was my turn. :) First slalom run of the trip, and last for me... yep SUCKED major.
  • Dad told the front desk his name, and the guy brought up Dad's record... "Whoa... Did you used to live at 338 Shamrock Dr?" Yep, they know you dad!
  • ER, check, WalMart, double check! Of the 5 days we were in Lake Powell, we went to WalMart, count it, 5 times!
  • At WalMart, they had the best t-shirt I had ever seen! "Free Gas" with a guy holding a leg up, and gas coming out his behind... yep pretty much sums up the boys in our family!
  • We had a boat that parked way close to us. Out of the whole lake, they were right next to us, and were so LOUD! 12 am, I yelled "shut up, please!" They didn't get it and were still LOUD!
  • The next morning, I woke people up at 4 am. Payback! :)
  • We had some Italians park their houseboat, no kidding like 5 yards away from our boat, in between us, and the LOUD boat. Their anchor ropes were crossing ours, so Dad went out and spoke Spanish to them (remember they were Italian!).
  • We hated the LOUD boat because they caused major problems for us... At Strombolis, they were there. News flash though, they were a SINGLES WARD! Dad called the Bishop a horses behind, and I told them to shut up... great we are definitely going to Heaven!
  • To make it better, Tanner yelled over the bench, "Dad, Kim needs more drugs... Dad Kim needs lower tab!" Great we are rude and druggies!
  • Dad told me, "I have enough stuff to keep you doped up for a long time!"
  • On the tube, Whitty tilted her head back, and spit. Yep, the spit went right up her nose!
  • I pressed the power button on Dad's radio, but his antenna was jacked and wouldn't go up. Yep, he blamed me for ruining his radio... but I have witnesses, it wasn't me!
  • Jamie, Whit, Steph and myself were on the back of the boat, shaving. Dad told us it was a photo moment... to bad when he came out, we were shaving our arm pits... "Woops, maybe not, sorry..." Haha sorry Dad!
  • Steph said she had to do laundry. She came back 2 minutes later with her wet swimsuit. Lake water, yum, clean!
  • Shortie got a high school musical magazine. She gave Jamie and Steph the "Are you ready for love?" quiz, well let's hope so!
  • The cut through is OPEN! Dad and Shortie saw a Kyaker come through! :)
  • Shortie and Mom fed the ducks. They were like little Lindas except they didn't let the ducks sleep in their sleeping bags :)

There is so much more, but I think this is enough... :)

Tanner's Day!

So today has been Tanner's day. Not necessarily in a good way. Today T mowed the lawn. Tanner was moving the lawn mower, when he tripped on the concrete in between ours and Wilson's house.

A little later, Neut was opening the garage when he heard something. He turned around to see the lawn mower racing down the driveway, and gaining speed.

Finally, Whitney and I were up in my room, I was showing off my newly cleaned room... The phone rang and Whit picked it up. She hung up and proceeded to laugh as she retold of the conversation she had just had. Tanner had locked himself, somehow, in the white fence. He was pinned between the garbage and recycling cans. Not only that, but he was out there for a while.

On top of all that, I conned Tanner into helping me hang up my clothes, however I did promise him a Jamba... :)
  • Shortie had her Field Day.
  • Mom had to go set up this morning at 9am.
  • Joe cleaned out the boat.
  • I registered for Summer classes... fun.

School's out FOREVER

At least High school I guess... So today
  • Shortie finished Twilight! Finally! She says it took her almost all year, but definitely worth it! She's is just another number of the millions who are in love with Edward, the vampire! :)
  • Whitty had her last official day as a Sophomore. She is having a swimming party with all her friends. Bet you wish you were here... How about we switch places... :)
  • Steph had her first official day as a hygienist! Bet she did awesome, as usual.
  • I started cleaning my room, I am deep cleaning! :)

So as you can tell, it's really exciting here... OK not really but whatever.

  • Granna and Grandpa came up to the house for dinner.
  • Steph starts work Monday, welcome to the rest of your life... :)
  • I danced with David Archuleta :)
